ANYONE TRAVELING FROM TRIPUI TO LA PAZ?

I hear from Gary at Mail Call in S.D. that my meds (which I need rather badly) have gotten as far south as Tripui and that Bev Miller there is looking for someone traveling to La Paz to deliver them to Club Cruceros.

If I am recalling correctly, Tripui is south of Loreto and consists of a crossroad and a trailer park. If anyone en route to La Paz can give me a hand with this it'd be greatly appreciated.

Bajajazz.......I will be driving down to La Paz Tuesday, Feb. 9. Let me know if you don't get the meds sooner and I will bring them down to you.

Since Bill Erdhardt was comfortable with carrying someone else's drugs, and travels Hwy. 1 frequently, and offered to do it... my warning posted before, about what happened to an American woman who did the same (and was jailed), was no longer needed.
Okay Frank? :light:;)

I think the difference between drug trafficking and delivery of prescription meds is so large as to be utterly obvious to anyone with a lick of commonsense. However, thanks for your interest in the subject.

The meds that I (and many other Vets who've retired in Baja) receive from VA are always accompanied by elaborate prescriptions that identify the recipient and also thoroughly describe the chemical makeup of the medication and its effects and side effects. It is my understanding that it is perfectly legal to deliver medications to a Baja resident as long as they are accompanied by a prescription. Any official taking a contrary view of this issue is probably abusing his authority.

Yes, we know ... and abusing authority is a specialty in MEXICO!

Good luck, and I am glad you found a way to not drive up to Tripui to get them yourself.

However, if you do... It is on the paved entrance road to Puerto Esondido... south of Loreto/ north of Ligui.
