Best fish taco ever
Just got back from a 2 week camping trip through Baja - and wanted to report on the best fish taco I have ever experienced.
Just south of Todos Santos on the side of the highway, there is taco stand/hut on the east side of the highway called LOS 2 GORDOS
The gentleman who made our tacos - Felipe - blessed us with the most sublime fish taco experience.
They were fresh dorado - served a la plancha (grilled NOT fried) - very important request 'a la plancha' - not fried - and they were absolute heaven
swaddled in warm corn tortillas.
Generous portions, seasoned to perfection, smothered in a smokey green salsa - and only 15 pesos each
Next time driving through Todos - highly recommend checking this place out.
Here is a photo of the place

He serves them fried as well - but his grilled fish takes it to the next level...maybe try one of each and do a taste comparison
there are a few foods that hit the 5th dimension for me - and these tacos are in the top 10 best taste bud orgasms of my life - seriously

The best fish tacos I've had are at a small stand going South on MX1, just before entering El Sauzal, East side of the road, right next door to a key
maker stand (close by a police station). They are to die for!

If you want the photo to show, either paste it here from a web site like photobucket.com or make a duplicate of it, then reduce its file size to under
50 kb and you can use the 'browse' button to post that reduced size image from your files to here...

Tacos Jalisco something or other. We tried that place based on your glowing
review some years back. We used to park on southbound side then walk over the pedestrian bridge and get a few tacos and have some keys made. The ped
bridge got knocked down by a flatbed trailer hauling a D9 Cat but you can
still get a fish taco.

Addicted to Ensenada-style, eh? Truth is that I like them both ways. However, if the fish is extra fresh, grilling allows one to enjoy the flavor,
IMHO. Besides, if you're watching your waist, you can eat more.

Grilled fish tacos are good, but anybody anywhere in the world can make them if they have fresh fish and tortillas, they are just too simple for most
Mexicans.

Pilars used to be the best fish tacos in Todos. Is she still around? Im with Jesse on fried vs planchada.

Right on Sharktooth!
When the oil or fat used to fry that fish looks like used motor oil it's time to eat grilled. Much healthier for you too.
Seriously, how often do you think the average vendor changes his motor oil?
Then again some folks love all those accumulated flavors oozing out of their taco.
DON\'T SQUINT! Give yer eyes a break!

I remember a study done a few years back concerning french fries. Tasters preferred the ones cooked in what was characterized as slightly rancid oil.
Maybe the same counts for fish tacos, eh?

Busy spot, but don't forget your Big Olaf ice cream cone next door then a walk out to the end of the pier.
