Another Try with the Photos

While I am not going to post all the photos that for well explained reasons we removed from the other thread, I did want to re-post and share a few of my favorites from San Borja and the surrounding area.

For the ranchers with whom we shared conversation and vittles

The negative results from the rain storms

The good results from the storm

The cactus pretending it was a snake

Reaching for the sky

Doctor Suess land

My very favorite picture of the mission that John shot--I just like this one better than any I have seen---

Where the Friar still lives

The last hill

And for the real Dr. Suess Fans---those who really like Green Eggs and Ham

Thank you

Makes me long for Baja. Gorgeous pics. Thanks for sharing. Record rains this year will make the deserts bloom like crazy. Love it when that happens.

Thanks, I missed the original posting while on the road -- only got the aftermath. I was up Montevideo valley a week or so ago with similar vegetation and it was incredible. Some day I'll get to the pictures...

David,
PLEASE go away. Yes, when it is convenient for you, you go on and on about this being a public forum. But on threads that you have started, you have asked me and others to stay off of them---so I am willing to NEVER post again on any thread you start if you will make the same promise.

I find you and your stupid smiling sun really annoying--except when I saw the stickers someone made that had the circle and cross over your avatar---those were great. I hope to never meet you, and no you do not try to play nice, you do not add "balance", so forget the repetitive and stupid defense.

Stick with those who like you and give a rip about your opinions. If you would like, I will go back and find the threads that you have started where you have claimed ownership and asked others to not post---as I said, you chose which line to take according to your convenience.

Just please go away.

Thank you----

Thanks for the nice comments.

Fixtrama---there were a number of areas like that---the storm did a real number on that road. Fun, except when we were pressed for time---that is a real mistake.

I highly suggest that especially with the roads in their current conditions, head out into that area from BOLA or at least from Guerrero Negro, especially if you plan on not camping along the way and the days are short.

We always enjoy that drive and that area, but it was a little more stressful in wanting to get off the dirt before dark.

OH, that last Dr. Suess picture had a lot of help from photoshop---I think maybe I should have gone further and made it really look like a cartoon.

Thanks again

I think it is wonderful that John and you travel so much and take the time to photograph so many interesting shots. We can never get it together to be at the right place with the right camera to save those impressive moments and places. Thank you...I really enjoy you photos.

Thanks---there are so many times we do not stop--time, or no where to stop. John just will not park in the middle of the highway, he keeps saying something about fast moving trucks coming around blind corners.

We really look forward to both of you returning to BA.

Diane
