La Mission hotel in Loretto
I'm heading to Loretto soon..never been there but have heard many good things....The La Mission hotel on the waterfront has been highly reccomended to
me...If any of you have been there I'd appreciate whatever input you could offer.

Might depend on your pocketbook. La Mission is a classy place with a killer location. But, you can find other accommodations in Loreto for much less
per night. As I recall, La Mission runs somewhere around $120 per night for rooms that face away from the water. I'm guessing that other nomads have
their own particular favorite places to stay.

la mision is a top flight, first class place; if you get a chance to stay there, do it...nothing in loreto, at this point, compares.

the new hotel Santa Fe. great rooms, new, 59US/night special, built to house the folks coming in to tour the Ensenada Blanco development but open to
the public. near the bus station, long walk to the waterfront, enclosed patio area but no swimming pool. best value in town.
La Mission has the location right on the Malecon, good rooms, newish, high prices, swimming pool, etc but is practically empty

Las Cabanas de Loreto
Hey Bradinbaja,
Welcome to Baja Nomad.....
you might consider Les and Linda Clark's "Cabanas de Loreto" if you want a more interesting perspective on our funky little town. They have very nice
rooms with fridge, microwave and outdoor cooking facilities. There is a hot tub and pool, and the Cabanas are located right off the Malecon. The
facility is a bit more private than a hotel like the Mision. They charge $90 US per night. The owners are great folks, and will point your way to
whatever it is you need here in Loreto.

A very long walk to the waterfront. However, I assume you will have a vehicle. That said, right across the street from Santa Fe is my favorite
restaurant in town, Domingo's Place. Next door to them is Hacienda Suites, which is a family run, US standards hotel that has a pool. Over the years,
we've stayed there, despite the fact that we could have found less expensive accommodations. It's clean, well-kept and also has a restaurant. I'm just
going to venture a guess here, but I'm thinking that anyone who may stay at Santa Fe is going to be really pitched on a time share, because that's the
only reason the place exists to begin with.

LORETO (one T) was a fun stop last summer... great food and tropical fun!
We stayed here, on the north side, one block in from the Malecon (beach walk/ street):

The other places recommended to us were closed, and the Oasis hotel was booked with a fishing event crowd... The Coco Cabanas was very nice and a
great pool... rumored to be the only 'cooled' pool in Baja... Was great in July!

would be to spell it properly in a reply, without hitting anyone over the head. Or, maybe you feel the need to feel superior. Gawd.

I appreciate it when I misspell a word and am corrected. I prefer to look intelligent and have a good command of the english language and when you see
misspellings it can portray you in a bad light. Do you know for a fact the OP typo'd or did not know the spelling?
I just lurk here for the most part and I know how much you dislike David K. It seems you never miss an opportunity to bash him for SOMETHING in WAY
too many threads. 99% of his posts are helpful and informative to a large majority of the people reading his posts. Your constant attacks makes me
think you have an inferiority complex and are in fact jealous of him.
