A Few Baja Flowers

I spent just over a week down there on my annual excursion. Here are a few pics of what was blooming.

Barrel Cactus

Hedgehog Cactus

Primrose, Verbena, Ocotillo

Arroyo Lupine

Cardon

Brittlebush

Baja Nightshade

Really wonderful photos.

Where were these taken? Looks like the central desert, Catavina and Valle de los Cirios corridor? We'll be passing north through that area in about 10 days and if it looks this great, I'm really excited about the opportunity to do some botanizing and photographing on the way up. Uh-oh, might need to revise the itinerary to allow for more time for stops!

Thanks!

Yep, BOLA to Catavina. Mostly on the Gulf side, but a few in the Mission Santa Maria area.
