I'll stop by the bus station later today and ask schedule and price.

What war, Dennis?

Here ya' go, Estrella...

Loreto to Mulege:
$182 Pesos one-way

12 noon
2 pm
3 pm
7 pm
10 pm
Should take about 1-1/2 to 2 hours.

However, the bus often stops at the Pemex station just south of town for a good half-hour for a food break (good food at Cafe La Professora, btw, love the mango sauce!). Anyway, you can call someone to come and get you there or wait and go another 5 miles where the bus will stop at the front entrance to Mulege at The Governor's Golden Arches (you'll see).

There's a couple of hotels and casa huespedes within walking of the bus station.

Mulege to Loreto:
Same price, $182 Pesos one-way.

8 am
9 am
11 am
1:25 pm
4:25 pm
9 pm
11 pm

Just so you know the buses run approximately on time, which means they routinely run about a half-hour late (recommend you be on time).

Have a sweater with you-- the buses of Baja are always cold!

Don't know how old you are, but with an INAPAM (formerly INSEN) card, there's a 50% reduction in bus fares.

You're absolutely welcome, Estrella. Algo mas?

INAPAM... I'd forgotton about that. Could you tell us how to get one? I know there's been a thread or two, but... ?

However, the very only time I ever traveled by bus, was from La Paz to Loreto and they refused to honor the Insen card.
This was quite a few years ago though.
And heard the same for ferry travel.:?:

you can get an INAPAM card at the DIF office in Loreto, but the last time I checked (fall 2009), you could only get it two months a year, December and January.
you need three passport size photographs, your FM2/3, your passport, proof of residence such as electricity or water bill or lease.

reality\'s never been of much use out here...
