Big Snapper! Kayak fishing in Bahia de Concepcion
Here's a good fishing report.
Yesterday on the way back from Loreto airport, we stopped by Mark & Olivia's Beunaventura beach cafe and visited for a bit. Mark and a friend
told us the story of this intrepid kayak fishermen who caught a monster dog snapper the other day.
Using a very light gear the angler pitched a small krocodile spoon out and got a surprise...whammo!..he was hooked into a brute that pulled him around
for a hour or two before he could even get a good look at it.
And when he did finally get that look..OhMyGawd...it was a huge fish!
A good estimate puts this snapper into the 50lb range.
Great Catch & A Nice Job! And way to go, Conception Bay!
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

I've got about $500 in lures invested in those things! Have to hold your mouth just right to keep them out of the rocks. Good to see one come up for a
change.

Pompano,
Is it time to hit Frijole reef? They must be cruisin around there.
Don't worry about losing those jigs. I'll bring em back to you after the dive. For a small fee, of course.

I have a Plano tray full of Krocs. All sizes and colors. Most are chewed up pretty good, and seem to catch more fish as they get older. Everything
eats them. Straight chrome, chrome and green, chrome and blue or purple. From5/8oz to 4oz. The bigger ones have mostly been changed to single circle
hooks, just keep winding!
