Screen Capture program (free)

I've been using Jing (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/05...) for awhile now and it's pretty cool. You put an image on you screen and you can frame a picture of any part and make notes on it or do a couple other thing like box in, draw arrows or high light an area.

I just did this this morning. There shouldn't be any questions about what parts I want.

Russ,

How are you turning it into an image instead of using the link? Is that available in Jing or are you using another program like Paint? This may be really simple.....

I had been using the free version of Screenhunter for years, until the free 'Snippet Tool' came with Windows 7. Screenhunter lets you do full or part page capture also:

If the image is on your PC and is under 50 kb, use 'Browse' to add it to a post.

If the image is on another website, like photobucket.com, use on each side of the image URL without spaces. This tool will do that for you:

Please try and reduce large images to not be bigger than the 800x600 pixal size requested by BajaNomad so the image doesn't stretch the frame wide.

I'm on a Mac and there's another free program, Image Well, that sizes the image and makes it a jpg file. Then I just hit the "Browse" button to post it.
