July trip south; any suggestions?
I am doing my second Summer trip to Baja. Phoenix makes Hell look cool.
Let's see: pick up a kayak in San Diego.
First to Bahia San Quintin for kayak-fishing, then to Punta Baja by El Rosario for camping/fishing.
Then a trip up to the mountains at San Pedro Martir (I have a park pass, so camping's free).
Finally Abreojos. And I may take a quick swing down south to partake of the incredible mangos in August.
Anything else to do in Summer in Baja? Am I missing any cool places (emphasis on "cool", weatherwise).
Thanks for any suggestions

Sounds like a good summer itinerary, stay away from the Gulf side if you want to stay cool....dt

Add 90% humidity to you AZ temps on the SOC and you'll probably enjoy your time more on the Pacific side.
Bahia Concepcion where life starts...given a chance!

Glad that you mentioned the mangos.
Did you know that the people of San Jose are called mangeros by some of the choyeros?

Might find some successful fishing off the rocks at the coves accessed along the ridge path at Laguna Manuela. Can launch the kayak too.

I just bought a fishing kayak in Phoenix of all places, along with two Penn rods, a tent and a chair. I'll be working my butt off until I leave, but
I may get in a brew with Capt Mike.
Time to look up "Laguna Manuela"...
Thanks!
