Crossing Northbound at Tecate

I crossed Northbound at Tecate yesterday 4:00pm. Maybe four cars ahead of me, but when I reached the customs officer their computers crashed. I had to wait 30mins for them, to receive permission, to release vehicles without running the info through the system. I had my dog Patch with me and the officer asked for a healthy dog certificate. This was the first time I have ever been asked for it, glad I had it with us. The road from Mex 1 to Tecate was in great shape.

Patch

Watch out it looks like Patch is getting ready to eat someones feet. He's already ripped the flip flops off. You're lucky the border agent didn't shoot him.

Wow! That's the first I have ever heard of anyone asking for "puppy papers."

In all the years I traveled with my dogs I have only been asked once Northbound (Mexicali East) and lately at the same border but southbound. No International Health Cert. but we had the Rabies/Current License's and away we went.

Haven't had a bad trip yet....
