So that was dodder on the elephant trees on the road to Bahia de Las Angeles? It looks like excellent bird nesting material!

Dodder is a problem. I work for local government and get involved in signing paper work necessary to send plant material to other countries. If it involves seed shipments, mainly alfalfa seed, studies have to be run to make sure that the alfalfa seed does not contain Dodder seed-the seeds look alike. Obviously, Mexico has Dodder but they don't need more!
