Loreto Fishing Report - No Yellowfin, but Dorado

This morning Al Jordan, two grandsons visiting from the States and fellow Loretano Roger Calvin on board Al's $eaNote, Barrry Wilkerson fishing solo on Rocket, and I on Soledad launched early in Loreto and headed outside in search of yellowfin tuna that had been in the area earlier in the week. Steve and Ronda McGavern launched Wannabe in Puerto Escondido and cruised north to join the hunt. Off and on throughout the day we had brief encounters with breaking yellowfin, but they were in whack-a-mole mode and did not stick around long enough to sample any live bait or artificial offerings.
The good news was the consolation prize dorado that were landed by all four boats.
The big fish of the day was a 43 pound bull that hit on a cedar plug intended for a tuna that was trolled by the crew on $eaNote.
