Jardines is pet friendly, as well. However, the Santa has two important pluses. First, they are situated on a beautiful stretch of beach. And second, as opposed to Jardines, they have something close to 60 rooms. Chances of being turned away as a walk-in appear to be small. (And, $40 a night!)

irenemm- You remind me that your place and Jardines both have something going for you that the Santa Maria cannot match. Your places are family owned and operated. People who value having a diligent owner right there on the site should keep this point in mind. It's something that the "Los Pinos Hilton" can't match.

I stayed at the Hotel Mision Santa Maria going south and north. Loved it! Ocean view and Abran the bartender got us what we needed.

Bill
I will get the direction on the web site. But we are South of Ensenada at about 100 miles.
In Vicente Guerrero our turn is 1 mile south of the stop light. WE are just north of the propane plant our road is at the start of the propane plants fence. WE are on the west side of the hwy and go west on the road for about a 1/2 mile and you will fine us. The road is across from the CFE also. We do have a sign but it is not the best to see it. You have to know where it is.
Yes we are a family owned and operated business. We live on site also. we have night watchmen too.
I hope you will stop and see us sometime.

Bajajudy I was wondering if you would clarify if it is the OLD Mill Hotel or the OLD Mill restaurant that was purchased. If it is the Hotel I am going to miss Jim & Nancy and the cold Pacificos.

I dont think the other post ever got corrected " Not Yours" where the head line read Old Mill burned down when it was actually Donedies that burned.

Hey DirkEXC !!
Just talked to Jim at the Old Mill Hotel on the phone (1 800 479 7962 ) They haven't sold out and are still there. I too am relieved to hear that. They have always been wonderful hosts. I'll enclose a link to their web site below. :bounce: :tumble::lol::spingrin:
