Tuna ABDUCTED off the Eastcape
A nice young tuna was abducted today off the eastcape today at approximately 6:30pm. The tuna was dismembered and thrown in a remote arroyo on the
eastcape for the local Coyotes.
The tuna was abducted using a pink BOONE feather. Another tuna was also lured and almost abducted at the same moment, but managed to escape capture as
2 abductions by 1 person is often difficult. The escaped tuna could not ID the ABDUCTOR!!! The Abductor is still at large. The tuna was however able
to identify the vehicle a 15' westcoaster Bayrunner with a 25hp 2 stroke outboard. Other tuna were told to keep an eye out for pink candy!

No photos were taken of the abducted fish, based on the autopsy reports the abducted fish was roughly 15lbs. Photos of abducted saltwater fish for
most species under 20lbs are not photographed.
However, The abducted tuna was dismembered, marinated in soy sauce, coated in cajun seasoning and blackened to perfection. The remainder of the tuna
was bagged and frozen for later experiments.

I heard the news mas. I about got flipped in the put-in last night. Got caught by surprise at low tide and a phantom wave. I think 14' of my 15' boat
were airborn, vertically. The next wave I jumped at full throttle.
I am going to put in at about 5:30ish if you want a evening fish. Had I had a extra person in the boat last night i would have got maybe 4 fish. I had
2 double takes.

Only 15 lbs. and some is making it into the FREEZER????
NO NO NO !!!!!!!
Tuna will keep in a cold fridge for up to a week and supply you with plenty of sashimi and seared ahi. In fact, one that size is prime for eating raw
or slightly seared.
But it's never the same, once it's frozen, if you intend to eat some raw. Wrap it in Saran wrap and then into a ziploc.
We whip up three dipping sauces: soy/wasab, mayo/sriracha and a ponzu of soy/lime juice and pressed garlic.
Personally, we never cook tuna unless it has already been frozen or is nearing the end of it's refrigerator shelf life. But that's a personal choice.
