Poco Cielo, km 59

Friday, 2 July, was the date of my first visit to Poco Cielo. In addition to the terrific view from the P.C's new cantina, we enjoyed attentive service from our waiter, Cesar.

Met new friends from Dana Point, San Diego, TJ and Arkansas who were also enjoying the afternoon.

We weren't that hungry, so just nibbled on the scrumptious shrimp ceviche and cold refreshments. I'm an appetizer fan. A good restaurant will provide a solid clue on their overall food quality with their tapas. Other plates of food passing by looked good.

Poco Cielo hotel guests were telling us about the massages, pedicures and other services available at this unique hotel and restaurant. Wifi is also available.

Cheryl, the owner, also came by and made certain we were enjoying our visit. We wish her and her staff success and will be back soon to check out the rest of the menu.

Great Place

I really enjoy this place too. Food has always been good and a very friendly staff and vibe. Need to get down to see the remodel but it looks lovely from the photo.

We're driving south to La Bocana BCS on Friday morning. Anyone happen to know what time they open for breakfast on Friday? I checked out the menu (thanks BajaDoc for the link) and it looks great.

They open every day at 8:00 a.m. sharp. Cheryl is always there to crack the whip.

Best breakfast: Poco Cielo omelette.
Best dinner: Pescado en papillote.
When ordering salmon, try the BBQ sauce on it.

p.s. bring bird toys (something crunchy to chew on) for Alfie, their cool African Grey parrot.
He has two environments, one inside, one outside, plus a private swimming pool!
