Just One Great Kid and a Baja 1000 Car

I do not know how to put the u-tube right here, so please follow the link.

This is VERY high on our list of why we love Bahia Asuncion. The star of this u-tube is Mino (Guillermo), the youngest son of our very good friends, Jamie and Elide.

No fancy parts or tools, just a great imagination

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWASS4IPn_Y

And the speed test drive

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5hnKP0E0f0

Mino is 10, and is always making something with whatever he can find and his dad's tools. We watched him building part of this car. He built this all on his own.

After the "wheels" fell apart on this car, Dad tells us that Mino just wants to build a bigger and better car.

Just a great kid and a great family. We always love seeing his latest creation.

What a riot! "Look ma, no hands". No seat belt, no knee pads, no helmet. Kid's having way too much fun. :lol:

Couldn't agree more. :yes::yes:

If you follow his dad's U-tubes ---click on jmvillacio under the video, you can see how Mino used the skateboard ramp his dad built, and Mino catching his first yellowtail---dad had to help.

He also has some very good ones there of the Preserve and Surfing----

Barbareno, you can see someone's property in the background---this all took place in front of that right now vacant property. ;D:yes:;

There is no stopping Mino. His name does sound like a racer---he acquired that nickname as a baby because one of his sisters was only 2 years old and could not pronounce Guillermo----a name I still find difficult to pronounce. :biggrin:

And this is a close up I recently shot of the future race car builder with a member of his pit crew.

Memo is the correct nickname for Guillermo in Mexico. Or maybe memito in his case. My nephew is a memito, and my parents caretaker is a memo.

Yea, Memo is for many, but this little guy is Mino to everyone. And he is one fantastic kid.

He has seen it and we did tell him he was now famous and the world is expecting great things from him in the future. :yes:

But I must say, I asked his father's permission to post this here---would not have done so without permission even though dad had already put it on his facebook page.

Now back to those safety issues so this speed mobile can pass inspection. Working on that roll cage, elgatoloco :biggrin:
