Fishing report for Asuncion

The ocean temps are finally warming up as the cold currents begin to weaken and warmer water is pushing up. A couple miles offshore has reached 70 degrees and brought yellowtail with it.

Amigo Ian took his tin boat up to surf north of San Pablo yesteray which was epic with the nice big swell builing...then he trolled around San Pablo area but lost patience and finally just jumped in the water in a kelp paddy and speared a couple nice fish for dinner..15 & 18 lbs. Adrian prepared an amazing seared yellowtail, sashimi and BBQ'ed some too along with the mussels.

Calico bass have shown up by Asuncion Island and halibut are now being caught off the pier in the village and in the cove at San Roque....wooo hooo
