Camping at Punta Chivato

Has anyone been to Punta Chivato lately or know what the beach camping is like there? Does it still have a useable boat ramp?

Yes the ramp is OK. And you probably will be alone on the camping beach. There was no one there this morning when I went fishing and there was one large rig there when I returned at 2. The ramp is the same one used by every one. Unless you beach launch. Fishing was lousy today. Only dinks with the divers in shore and no dorado from the only boat I heard outside today.

B&S, Next time I go fish where you map says! I went all the way to San Marcos Tierra today along the shore and returned about 4 miles out looking for dodos. Damn needle fish caused me to retie the top shot 3 times and got 2 lures. 15lb test is not enough but sure is fun.

Those needlefish are a pain in the burro. Don't know which is a greater pest, needle or barracuda. Both are fine eating, though.
