14 Injured when Church Collapses near Ensenada

http://www.laht.com/article.asp?ArticleId=360981&Categor...

ENSENADA, Mexico – Thirteen children and one adult were injured Thursday when a church near this Pacific port in northern Mexico collapsed, authorities told Efe.

The church building, located about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) east of Ensenada, came down when the children were on the second floor, and they fell the distance to the ground suffering mostly broken ribs in the process.

At the time of the collapse, there were also present several U.S. citizens from neighboring California who normally visit the area to perform social services because of the scarce economic resources available to local residents.

No injuries were reported among the visiting foreigners.
