fishing and chlorophyll maps

I don't understand how to use the chlorophyll maps for fishing. How do you use them and how do the chlorophyll levels affect fishing?

Thanks

Not sure how it affects the bite, but when you catch one it will have kissing sweet breath.

High chlorophyl levels indicate plankton and off color 'green' water with lots of nutrients. Low levels are associated with clear blue water, lower in nutrients. Theoretically, find where the two meet and you should find baitfish and predators concentrated.

this is a very helpful tool to help spearfishers know if the diving conditions are good...clear blue water!

Cardon Man hit the nail on the head. You are looking for the change area where the clear water meets the high levels of chlorophyl. The baitfish and small fish feel more secure in slightly off colored water, plus the off color water holds more plankton and nutrients for the smaller fish, and the predators can move right on the edge of the clear water and hunt the edges for bait fish which they can see readily, and the "smart" fisherman is hopefully on the very top of the "food chain".
