Deposito turned Bistro in Asuncion!

The last few months have been a flurry of activity for Sirenita & Adrian as they are not only growing a baby but creating a new culinary venture called the Tide Pool bistro located in Campo Sirena at the beach in Asuncion.

With alot of help from friends, we turned an old Corona deposito into a cool little food stand. Adrian is a fantastic cook and Sirena's pies and pizzas are awesome. They use wholesome fresh ingredients and will be open all day long for fresh seafood like fish tacos, sushi, sashimi, abalone & caracol burgers and they will cook your catch how you like it too as well as prepare lunches for fishing and daily specials...fresh squeezed juices and of course pizzas.

Over the last couple weeks, we've had several practise inaugurations and looks like this will be a great little hangout! I may never cook again!!!

Here is Bajafam at last night's bacon wrapped gourmet hot dog night. We will be putting the finishing touches on the place this week...plants, beachcombed stuff etc. I wish the kids the best of luck in their new business.

Can't wait to enjoy a fancy dinner at Sirenitas and Adrian's Bistro. That photo is really awesome! Super cool and congratulations to the culinary entrepreneurs!! Salut to decades ahead of rich french sauces and regional fine wines con 'comida cinco estrella asuncion' - Grandma never having to cook again!

Weeeeee!!!
Well this is exciting to say the least! I'm glad everyone has liked our treats so far, I think that the thing that makes the whole experience, is the fact that both Adrian and I enjoy making the food as well as hanging out with everyone and seeing big happy smiles (or psycho smiles as depicted above :biggrin: ) from start to finish.

It's been a roller coaster ride for us but we are grateful for every single minute of it so far and we very much look forward to having more and more guests!!!

Thanks to Bajafam for braving the taste tests and for the lovely photos!!!

That looks great!

Good luck on the venture... get more bar stools, I want to go back to Asuncion!

I still remember the yellowtail that Shari sliced up and served just an hour after the fish was caught!

July, 2007:

Juan catches it.

Shari cuts it up.

David enjoys it!

OK. At the risk of getting my head chopped off.... I remember the call for donations to help thee young lady go to the University. I am assuming that the University was not completed and directions have changed?
