? Surf Fishing Erindera?

I just received a PM fro a member of the SC Surf Fishing Club. He's planning a trip there and as a first timer to Baja is concerned for his safety on the trip and would like some good ideas on travel, accommodations, place to fish, people & places to see. You know the usual first timer requests. I gave him this site as a great place to start so he'll probably see this. Thanks for the helpful hints since I'm clueless about the area.

Ejido Erendira is 'famous' for Castro's Camp fishing resort (bottom fishing for rock cod) with pangas and motel... about a mile or two north of town. A few more miles north are beaches at/ near Punta Cabras. Saw plenty of Surf Perch being taken while camping there. My info is dated... but it was a great thrill back in the 80's to go to Castro's and load up our ice chests with some fine eating rock fish.

Surf fishing is excellent in the Erendira area. Have him start at the river mouth at the end of town and then north at the locations he will be able to see from the coastal road going north. He will pee his pants when he sees some of these spots!
