Canadian man arrested in Mexicali for child pornography

BAJA CALIFORNIA, MEXICO – A Canadian man was arrested for filming and possessing child pornography in Baja California, Mexico, the Mexican State
Police announced on Monday.
Theodore Richard Emery, 58, was found in possession of pornographic material where he was seen having sexual intercourse with minor girls. At the
moment of his arrest he was also in possession of a pistol.
The arrest took place in the Villas del Real neighborhood in Mexicalli, Baja California. Emery was speeding in a truck. In the Palomas Street, the
suspect slowed down and the law enforcement agents took advantage of the opportunity and approached the vehicle.
The officials intended to perform a routine inspection but after checking Emery’s clothes, they proceeded checking the truck. Inside the vehicle,
police officers found a .38 caliber gun and two clips with five bullets each.
The law agents also noted that on the passenger’s seat there were two bags carrying a video camera, a VHS adapter, 8 VHS videos, 7 compact discs and
six photographs. The seized items contained child pornography.
Emery eventually confessed that he appeared in the videos having illegal sexual relations with the minor girls depicted in the photographs.
The suspect and the evidence were handed over to the respective authorities to continue the investigation and prosecute.
