Gonzaga in November
Driving to Gonzaga in November, looking for anyone interested in joining the congo line.
Will cross at Mexicali in the early am, lunch in San Felipe, be on the bay by 15:00hrs. Always like to travel with more than one vehicle.

isn't it a conga line?
one of the reasons i stopped crashing weddings, a serious conga line incident a few years ago.
formerly Ordained in Rev. Ewing\'s Church by Mail - busted on tax fraud.......

We would be crossing over the 27th of November, returning the 2nd or 3rd of December, always negotiable. Yes Mike, you are correct, it is Conga.
Sort of a relic from my misbegotten youth.
Bert, would love to have you in the train.
November is a great time to go, weather is great, diving is still good, not many people, but then there were hardly any people in June. The new
restaraunt at El Rancho is great and the new cook and his lovely wife knocked themselves out for us, couldn't say enough good about them.

I am going to just take a guess that he left out the word 'Grande' in the name... El Rancho Grande (across from the Pemex, at the Gonzaga market/
liquor store).

YEA,,,what used to be the warehouse,,is now the store.
what used to be the store,,is now a restaurant.
The cook and his wife are a very nice couple, and the cook himself,,,is a "real" cook ! (not jus some guy behind the fryer)
I've had some pretty good "viddles" there !
ps:soon to come at rancho........HOT showers

Sorry for the confusion, I tend to become myopic about Gonzaga, yes it is El Rancho Grande. Thanks for the ditto Bert, on the food at El Rancho
Grande.
Not to start a war, but the last time we ate at Alfonsina's, June of this year, the service was terrible, they acted like we were putting them out,
well we were; as they were watching a television program and didn't want to be disturbed. Decided I didn't need to spend my money there any more.
Timing of the decline in service with the death of Alfonsina was noted.
Complete opposite at El Ranchjo Grande, service was great, the cook couldn't have been more hospitable and the shrimp and fish tacos were outstanding.
Invited us back for breakfast, promised us a great treat. We couldn't make breakfast but he continued to go outof his way for us.
I will post again sooner to departure date.
Dizzy, you are going to have to get more time off, six days just doesn't cut it, driving that far!

Jim..your'e going for 6 or 7 days....my 6 days off are just a week before your trip...sorry I'll miss it...maybe in the Spring??
PS I have two 6-day breaks each month , buy very little actual "vacation" days so I usually have to time my excursions to coincide with those breaks

This is great to hear (about Rancho Grande)... Too bad Antonio isn't running a tighter ship at Alfonsina's... I miss Irma's cooking! At least when
one falls, another picks up in its place. The view from Rancho Grande can't compare, however!
