nope. Mexico expanded their inspection lanes significantly and IMHO is no longer the obstacle to southbound traffic (outside of peak rush hour). What brings southbound traffic to a halt are the US exit inspections that go up quickly, slow traffic as they check license plates, and then are taken down just as fast. There's no telling when they will do it- and they want it that way.

Those impromptu ICE inspections can still delay you for up to an hour, but once they're taken down, traffic moves quite freely. If you're coming up on one, you may want to bail out and visit the duty-free store for a while. At least you won't be stewing in traffic.
