New Water Lines for Asuncion!
After years of waiting and being told...soon...one of the two planned water lines have been laid. The project only took a week once they got started
and is nearly done.
This line will service the new homes being built off the end of the main street towards pig beach where several Nomads have their casas. Just think
guys...real water pressure!!!
We are next out here at the point...hmm...soon I guess.

OH OH..Not exactly the water line you had in mind, but rain is on the way, up here anyway. Could be a wet week.
I'm just going to throw away my calendar. Nothing makes sense anymore.

Something else to look forward to on our return. It's been way, way too long since we've been there or our home in La Paz.
I think the world is run by C- students.

Since we are here, we had our friend with the water company tap in for the connection and we will be fully connected when the water begins through the
pipe with should be Monday or Tuesday. Our presure in the house has been fine with only gravity feed, a little light outside at times, but never a
real problem. However since the first pipe that was installed was meant to only service one then two houses, this should be better. The old main
pipe was 1/2 inch and this is a 4 inch pipe.
I e-mailed Laurieboats and twogringos as our friend, Saul, said that all of you would need to hook up---another person said, no hurry, but, we did
not want surprises later, The old pipe is still working, but who knows when that will change---much of it is now exposed. Saul asked that if we
had not contacted our neighbors that we please do so.
It also gives a little idea of where some of the side streets are going to be----they only went a little ways down from the street behind your house
on the other side of Casa Lila and down here, it stops behind our house. It does go out at least to where the furthest new house is on the other
side of the road.
You will need to pay for the materials and labor to hook up---materials cost us about 170 pesos and Saul never charges enough for labor, and in our
case it was really cheap as he did it before they buried the pipe and the pipe is very close to our old pipe. Oh, he also suggested that after we
are hooked up that we change the filters on the tinacos---time to do that anyway.
Hope to see you soon. Drove out the road today and a few of the new repairs are beginning to break down a little, but they are still working-----so
much NICER and faster. Started with the oil on the last of the dirt road so should be real soon.
They have been discussing this for a few years as some of it was supposed to be done before anymore homes were built---didn't happen, but this is an
election year, so more infrastruction is being improved---

What the cost for a lot running down there?
We had water lines installed last year at our camp...what a difference it has made life.
