I usually do go through TJ at daylight these days and since the roads through Tecate are still a mess.
I think TJ is the best way to go. An easy drive that should miss traffic, allow a nice baja lite breakfast in Ensenada with coffee, then the
yummmmmmy food at El Foro in San Quintin with their wonderful seafood. Cruising from there to Guerro Negro for the night.

Oh my ... if you are up to trying something new, head for JARDINES restauant in San Quintin. It came highly recommended by some of our guests are we
were so pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was !! Take the exit towards Old Mill and eventually you will see a faded sign telling you to
head left, the hotel and restaurant are side by side.
We had the buffet dinner and the filet mignon melted in your mouth - they had NY steak, rib-eye, porterhouse ....
and plenty of traditional mexican fare as well, but since we have fish and lobster and calle de acho (sp) clams all the time (not meaing to rub it in
but hey...it is the truth !!), we crave a good meat dish when we can get it

Jardines restaurant is just about the best in the area. Two notes: They are only open for dinner and are closed Mondays. We had the disappointment
recently of passing through San Quintin on a Monday. Called Carmen at Jardines to double check. Yup. they were closed. Next time.

In Ensenda try Mi Kaza Going south turn left a the heads and it's on the first block on the left side open's at 6:30. I really like this place because
I can get in and out fast.
http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=45534#pid5125... try Las Cazuelas de Kiki Turn left at the navy base. Always lots of locals.
