Baja Dog in Montana

OK, last year she and my son spent part of the winter in Baja and will do so again this year. Right now, she is enjoying her Montana home.

I just really liked this one---and I think it says a lot about how some of us feel about our dogs.

Her father will not be happy! Is the snow predicted for Missoula? the picture was not taken there, but that is where they live.

Prob. not, it is lower elevation in Missoula... stays nicer longer. I am heading south in a week for a short trip, so it can snow all it wants, its nice to be in Baja-while its snowing here.

She is my son's dog and named Badger---she earned that name as a wild little puppy.

She was a rescue dog from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota----rescued before her eyes were open.

And, she LOVES Baja.

I truly believe rescue animals are the best... and wow, do we become attached to our babies! At least I know we do! After all... they are family!

I looked back and opps --- I only wish I had taken that picture because I love the way it came out. I have had very little luck shooting into the sun that way. My son took this one and mom stole it---OK, with permission.

Badger is one cool dog and very pretty, and very unique looking.

Missoula?!

I chased and chased my dog thru the outskirts of Missoula. Was at Fish Creek (west of town) doing some blue ribbon trout fishing. Dog thought that cotton tail deer was a large rabbit!

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Near Missoula is the only place I fish anymore--love to float those rivers and catch and release the trout---and yes, lots of things around for the dogs to chase!

Cataway---thanks, that dog is a cutie.
