SUNRISE - SHRIMP - SINKING BOAT
Have you ever wondered why such an inspiring sight like a sunrise..takes place at such an inconvenient hour?
.
.
Here's yesterday afternoon at Ana's, Santispac Beach. An industrious young lass weighs out fresh shrimp by the kilo. No runts in those
litters..grandes...nice, plump, and firm.
She had many customers...at 150 pesos/kilo.
Mine are safely home in the fridge..awaiting some c-cktail sauce, limes, and icy-cold Bloody Marys on the seaside patio.
.
.
.
Headed for poker, I see this well-loaded little cruiser has recently set the hook at Burros Beach.
Hmmm...? On a closer look, she appears to be listing to port.
All okay now, as I checked back after poker and her owners had the pretty gal back on an even keel.
And so goes other Day in the Bay...
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

I see Linda in your picture, was Bernie with her? If so how is he doing? Save some shrimp for me and of course some or your poker money. Be there in
a couple of weeks.
What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

Hola Laurie...yes, Bernie was inside Ana's at their table. I told him he was a 'tigretonni'..like me. He laughed at that!
Poker...I got lazy and careless... ended up taking 4th place..out of the money.

$7.50/lb. is more than I pay for shrimp right off the boat down along the northern Gulf of Mexico. Must be a deal based on California prices? Yea,
Baja is too close to California.

150p/12.224p per $1.00=$12.27 per kilo
$12.27/2.2 lbs/kilo=$5.57/lb.
Not a bad price
I used the bank exchange rate as of 10-5-10, maybe different than what is being exchanged around Baja.

You are correct on the current dollar/pesop exchange, LancairDriver...and also correct on 150 pesos a kilo being a fair price for these retailers.
We want and expect entreprenuers to make a decent profit, no?
