Corbinafest in Asuncion

Yesterday morning was a tad windy to panga fish so the Francis clan took to the beach with us in tow for a corvinafest at high tide...love those morning parties!!!
Here is stan with his personal best bean so far sporting the baja grizzly look....

and Mark had the winning fish of the morning with this monster...he started the day with a nice 5 lb calico off the rocks at our place at sunrise.

I've never seen so many people on a beach here...I counted 19 of us and a whack of dogs partying...beats the snow!!

shari ....this right in front of your place? Surf fishing is my favorite form of fishing. Nice catch(s) there

Great report Shari... I'm drooling and lazy as ever. I think there's more summer clothes in that one photo than all of your summer posts combined:O

I believe that beach is the one near what the locals call la cuevita which is not far from Punta Choros----just a few miles south of Bahia Asunción off the road to Abreojos.

Lots of isolated beaches along that road.

Woody. Yellowtail are just as much fun as tuna. Pescador (Jim) prefers them to tuna.

It sounds to me as though the fishing at Asuncion now is about as good as it's going to get.

Gopher it.
