I hope Mexicana comes back. It was my favorite airline. Real meals, cute stews, and free drinks. One can't ask for much more than that.

You can just about forget the complimentary meals and drinks. The purpose of the bankruptcy action was to shed debt and cut costs. Current proposal has the airline flying again sometime next month. However, as noted in the article about the calendar, they only plan to hire back about 30% of the work force. Mostly because, although they flew somewhere near 66 planes prior to shutting down, they plan to have a fleet of 28 when they restart.

That said, I always went out of my way to fly Mexicana because of the amenities, whether flying LAX to Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, or Cancun.
