Taco recommendation: San Quintin
We are looking for eating recommendations in San Quintin. This will be a quick lunch stop, so we are looking for a roadside taco stand, maybe
something with mariscos. We have eaten at the taco stand at the city park but have grown tired of it. What about the mariscos shacks north of town?
Any recommendations there?

Where's BajaGringo when you need him?
If you can handle a sit down, I'd recommend Viejo San Quintin next to the hospital on the West side of the road. It's run by the family that owns
Hotel Jardines de Baja. Also, Mission Santa Isabel is good for lunch. It's farther North and on the East side. Personal preference, I guess, but I'd
much rather grab a bite at either of these places than at a stand.

mariscos shacks
There are several mariscos shacks on your right side northbound headed out of town..........stopped at one and the food was
delicious.......unfortunately, don't remember the name or have a photo!!!! It looked like a giant palapa and I think it had a blue sign........like
about a hundred of them.......... "inside" sit-down dining with the famous Corona chairs and tables!!!!!

Los Poblanos taco stand on the north side of San Q just a little ways past the big Church. Great tacos and carmelized onions. Barstools out front.
This is a stand, not a restuarant. We love it when we are there, usually have lunch on our way into Cielito Lindo. Another good option is Lalos
chicken, roasted chicken, salad and fries. Fresh . We do that too. Enjoy either one, neither will break your pocket book. Maybe someone else will step
in for better directions, k

I've been driving past those northside stands for over 40 years now..and never stopped once in all that time.
Why
I've got to slow down, smell the roses..eat some of those tacos..try Los Poblanos. Gracias for the reports of good eats in San Quintin.
By the way, this IS diet food, right?
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

I second El Cliente! The smoked clam soup for breakfast is awsome.

There is a guy about mid SQ on the west side of the road with a big copper kettle, where he cooks carnitas stiring them with a boat oar, great food
and always crowded.

Apparently Bajaguys memory has failed him so here is a picture of the place he refers to (and it was very good too!)
Just do it!

Poor fish looks like he's wearing a rooster head comb.
