You bet CortezBlue, I think a lot of us know that...but for a lot of us music fans who are oldtimers, when Lennon was shot, it was like deja vu with Buddy Holly's death in an airpland bound to a concert in sub-zero temps.

It especially affected me at the time because I was a 15 yr-old teenager waiting in Moorhead, Mn. with my date and tickets to the concert. That was Feb. 3, 1959. A whole new generation of rock'n rollers mourned that day.

Many years later, when Lennon was shot and killed, the whole scenario repeated itself.

My take on it...Both days the Music died...

And so it goes.

December 8, 1980... they day John Lennon died... I learned of his murder watching Monday Night Football... his death was announced during the game by Howard Cosell. I'll never forget it.
