Remember these days?

I took a drive yesterday in the area East of San Felipe St, and North of Mar de Caribe Norte. I found a area with over 100 new homes, block after
block of small 1 story homes, then several blocks of 2 story houses. An occasional larger home was also in the area. These are homes built for
Mexican families. All this development has been built within the last couple years, the last time I was looking around there. There is a lot of San
Felipe that most people (from NOB) don't know exists.

I sort of like the part where they take out an equity loan on their house and buy TWO condos. Wonder how they feel now?

I believe that those "cookie cutter" homes built by the government are called INFONAVIT.

They are. Very small. Running water and bath. Little kitchen area. There are several of these in SF. I think it's a swell deal.....as I have seen (and
still do) families living in cardboard and pallet shacks. Some of the folks have "extended " their quarters by adding on with plywood and such.
