So young, so sad, especially for his young sons.

My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Very sad...
Wasn't he a partner with Jesse at Tres Virgenes Restaurant, too?
I hope Aldo's family find the strength to maintain with their great loss! Vaya Con Dios Aldo!

Wow, very sad news. As a mother with 2 young children, I can't imagine how those kids feel! My heart goes out to them. I hope there is family in La Paz for the boys. Heather

Very sad news, I am so sorry to hear this. I had the pleasure of meeting him once when he came through Loreto. Thanks for letting us know so we can send good thoughts and energy to his children who need it now.

What a bummer:( The last communication I had from him was a U2U inviting me to the restaurant to collect on our last World Cup bet. I was looking forward to meeting him in person. I don't care about the Cazadores, I just wish this hadn't happened.

All my childhood I wanted to be older. Now I\'m older and this chitn sucks.

Just have to feel so much pain for the kids. First, their mom, and now their dad. Tragic doesn't begin to describe it.

We are absolutely in shock. Have known Aldo since 1998. He has always been friendly, helpful, reliable, but mostly someone that we really liked. We are treasuring a moment that happened on Tuesday morning when we said hello to him as we walked by him sitting outside at his favorite cafe near the city pier on Abasolo.

Well i am also surprised and shocked about the news. Even do our business togheter did not last, there was never any personal issues betwen us as he was a calm, hard working, smart, family man. Just a day before his dive, i ran into him in the supermarket and as usual, we looked at each other and aknowledge each other with a nod and smile. I am frankly concerned about the kids, loosing one parent is a big thing in a childs life, but loosing two in such a short time is very difficult.

My prayers go to him and his family.

Very sorry to hear this. What a tragedy for both the kids and the family. I hope the kids have some immediate family to rely on. I just can't imagine.

I love to freedive. I took a freediving course 2 years ago that really broke down and dissected not only the mental aspects of freediving but also the physiological changes that your body goes through when you really push your limits. I was middle of the pack at 87 feet on a single breath. There were guys going 115+ and this was an intermediate course! No less than 4 guys passed out from shallow water black out pushing their limits (it's very controlled and no one was hurt). I know Aldo had heart complications but it's a tricky sport and there are real dangers associated with it.
