Danza Kuduro is a song from Don Omar's collaborative album Meet the Orphans released as the lead single from the album on August 15, 2010 through Machete, VI. It features singer Lucenzo, a France-based artist of Portuguese origin.[3] "Danza Kuduro" is number one on the Hot Latin Songs, giving Don Omar his second US Billboard Hot Latin Songs number-one hit and Lucenzo his first.[4]

New term = Kuduro adapted from Portuguese

My wife (of Colombia) and I learned the actual meaning of this term by visiting Wikipedia: La música de "Danza Kuduro" es una adaptación de la canción "Vem dançar kuduro" (en español, Ven a bailar Kuduro = culo duro) :o:lol:

This doesn't relate to the "Turista" Gringo culture that travels to "Baja". But, speak to any Latino en Español (in Baja California) about Don Omar...:light:

I'm American, but I enjoy traveling and learning about other cultures. :light:

Don Omar is a Puerto Rican Artist from the Reggaeton genre. Locenzo is French who is singing in Portuguese. What I found to correspond well with the spirit of this 'Spanish Language' section of Baja Nomad is how my wife and I learned a new term that can now be utilized in Spanish that comes from Portugal by way of Africa.

Ken, I am a latin music fanatic and don't listen to any other....

This music is #1 on the latin charts and is amazing but hard for old guys like me absorb the gangsta kinda slant that is in young music these days......althougt I'd have to say that I like the latin stuff better than our NOB stuff.

Enjoy,

Currently, I am vacationing along the US-Mexican border in South Texas. The music on the radio here consists of contemporary Latin Pop and lots of Banda and Mariachi. Great to get out of town, and hear different sounds.

On a sidebar, the song 'Culo Duro' has been playing regularly on the radio.:bounce:
