Favorite free wifi locations?

What are currently your favorite free wifi locations along the peninsula - especially along Hwy 1?

Including, but not limited to: Tijuana, Ensenada, San Quintin, Guerrero Negro, Santa Rosalia (?), Mulege, Loreto, Cd. Constitucion, La Paz, Todos Santos (?), and Los Cabos.

Wifi? When I'm in Baja, I don't even wear a watch!!

But, if I did need Wifi, Baja Cactus, El Rosario... I think you just ask the front desk for the access code, yes?

Mulege

Just to the south of Mulege and just before the Pemex on HWY 1, La Palapa restaurant. The WiFi is free if you order food or drinks using your own 'puter. If you use their equipment then there is a fee.

Things are expensive, but at least we get a free trip around the sun once a year

One of my favorite stories from long-ago about traveling in Mexico alluded to the change in perspective regarding time... and having asked someone if they knew the time, to get a reply along the lines of "it's at least Thursday, might even be Friday".

I also prefer not to wear a watch when in Baja.

Yes, I believe so. Can sometimes help - even for me - to have a BajaNomad card handy to show them.

Is the 5th Avenida Cafe still open on the corner of 5 de Mayo & Revolucion (across the street from the Plaza & Catedral) in La Paz?

Any other La Paz favorites?

Thanks!

Excellent info. Thank you.

I'm thinking of keeping a list compiled from answers here and posted on their own page... or, better yet, maybe we need a Baja Nomad Wiki for such things (various resource lists) ??

Just a thought....

I just discovered a new wifi spot in the San Quintin area a couple of days ago.

Tazz Pizza

Located in Lazaro Card##as near the south side of town on the east side of the road. Great pizza too!

Out here there a couple of locations that I know of.....around the Fire Station at La Joya and at the new Brewery restaurant out on the Punta Banda spit by the defunct hotel.
The fire station has no security on it and the restaurant will give you the code on request.

Cowboy Hotel in GN...the wifi saved us when Sirenita & stayed there for 5 days when she had Izaak. Anyone with a magic jack should know how great it works to just plug the hotel phone into your MJ and yap yap yap the night away with your pals and family....ya might get some salsa on your keyboard if you are chowing the yummy tacos mixtos in the taqueriea restaurant.

Don't know if the range is different (probably not much if at all), but this item's a fraction of the price - for a vendor in Oceanside, CA:
