San Felipe Vacation
Jimmy and I made yet another annual trip to Mexico after missing it last year. We did it on the super cheap. It cost a bit under $200.00 U.S. for gas
round trip from Sacramento, CA, and we stayed at Walmart in Indio and Beaumont for free. Our total average daily expense once in Baja was $23.00. Camp
fees were $12.00 per night. Mexican auto insurance for the whole trip was about $50.00. We spent no other money. So, such a vacation is within reach
of somebody of limited means - if nothing goes wrong, and thank Goodness nothing did. It was great.
Say what you will about San Felipe, it is still a great destination if you're ready for a laid back vacation. We stayed at Josefina's La Palapa RV
park next to Ruben's. I didn't plan on just sitting around for 10 days, but that's what we did. Once I parked the motorhome at our spot, we never
drove it again until it was time to go home. Bicycles were our only mode of transport in the meantime. Lucy got to go back to her mother country.
A big thirst for a big boy, but he'll have to wait a few more years.
First things first. At low time, a small island appears that Jimmy named Rodrick Island from "Diary of a Wimpy Kid."
You find the most interesting things lying around on the beach.

That corona store is right next to the tecate store where I always buy my beer. You get a free bag of Ice per case. it also is about 5 mins from my
house.
We use to love going to Rubens in the 70s The beach still looks the same

Yes, Jimmy likes his Mexican vacations. The dogs had a GREAT time. Never on a leash, no real fights with other dogs - nothing but fun.
