Alas and Alack. The adjacent Hotel Cabo San Lucas, with its signature palm forest closed several years ago as the Parr family was seemingly liquidating their iconic assests. (Think Hacienda Hotel at the breakwater of the Cabo marina)

International developers bought the Hotel Cabo and invested a ton of money to move Mex 1 inland so they could have more beach-adjacent property in their development. However, with the recession, work has ceased and the property sits empty and idle. The only good news is that there is still public beach access off Mex 1 to this glorious snorkling bay.

This was ten years ago. I found that the beach was very nice. Great snorkeling there too.

Wow!!!
I lived in the employee housing to the north of the hotel. I was just back last Febuary and dove chileno. They have done a great job of preserving that area it was loaded with fish.
My family spent many Sundays at that beach...

What's really amazing is that anyone could use a phrase as antiquated as that, Alas and Alack, and continue on with an award winning, repeated redundancy....Empty and Idle.:lol::lol::lol::lol:
