No, can't say that I have. But if you should come across some Red Line gear oil in La Paz during your search, let me know where.

Chevron's Delo 400 is a comparable oil:

Dino or synth are options for Rotella and Delo...

I would check at several of the marine supply stores around town. If one doesn't have it, another may. The stores are darn well stocked. They will even send you to another, with directions, if they don't carry what you are looking for. It took me three stores to find what I needed to fix a friends boat, but I found it all, and the job is done!

Is there a walmart in La Paz yet? All their stateside stores carry Rotella T in 1&5 gallon sizes, I believe Costco as well. Maybe one of the nomads could check for ya..

Why not go to a truck dealership and see what oils they have. La Paz has motorcycle shops as does San Jose and Cabo. Or ship what you need down by Nomad or bus to a Nomad down there....

Check with a big rig dealer or repair shop. You may have a bit of trouble finding other than 40 weight oil, or smaller quantity than 19 liter pail.

Costco carries Delo and I also saw a grade I haven't seen before 25W50 but don't remember the brand.I will check back tomorrow and post.Costco only carries 2 brands.I will try to stop by WalMart too and post.
Many riders use Rotella in their KLRs but not me.

I hope this isn't considered hijacking this thread, but does anyone know if WalMart SuperTech 2 stroke oil is available in Baja? They don't carry it in La Paz WalMart and they have never heard of it.

On the boardwalk, about 150 yards north of the Marina Hotel, there's a marine supply store at the harbor there. Last summer I saw they carried 15-40 Shell Rotella-T. I logged that into memory as a place I can find it if I ran out. Haven't been back though to see if it's a regular item.

Made the promised stop at Costco today and they DO NOT carry Rotella.
They carryChevron 40w and 25w50 (yes 25) dino oil, both in a case 12 liter bottles.
They also carry Quaker State 10w30 Syn,10w40 dino and 5w50 syn,all in 5 liter jugs.
Also QS 15w40 dino that says used for diesels but it's in a 19 liter container.
There is a large auto parts store next to the Pemex station on the main drag in Cabo, about 3 blocks from the marina. Also an Auto Zone adjacent to the Soriana.I suppose one or the other SHOULD carry it.
As an add on to the previous post,I saw another strange wt of oil today at WalMart,--w60!
If you ever see Amsoil anywhere down here-give me a shout and no,it's not April 1.

How much did a case of six bottles of Techron cost at Costco? If the price in pesos is over twenty dollars U.S. I'll jet on down to Costco before I leave on my trip on the 7th.
