Casa de Cambio on U.S. side at Tecate
I am looking for some general information on the Casa de Cambio on the U.S. side of the border at Tecate. What are their hours? How does their
exchange rate (buying pesos for dollars) compare to say the daily rate shown on Yahoofinance.com or similiar info? What fees do they charge? Limits of
dollars? Any fairly current info would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, b1

Unless you are looking to exchange a huge amount of money, why not consider just hitting an ATM once you have crossed the border?

With a casa de cambio the tipo de cambio is always going to be substantially less than interbank rates.

I haven't been through there in a while. Is there more than one money exchange place in Tecate USA, or no?
Are they "no commission" places - and how do the rates compare to places like Baja-Mex in San Ysidro?
Thanks,
-
Doug

Just noticed that Baja-Mex has an office in Tecate. These are all independent and have different rates... but here's the info off their website:
Address: 443 Tecate Road, Tecate, CA 91980
Hours: Mon-Sun: 8:00am - 8:00pm
Tel: 619-478-5060

Does anyone know the hours the casa de cambio is open in Tecate? It is open on Saturday and Sunday?
