Turtle Rescue from Net

On Jan 18th, guests fishing with us aboard our flagship CABO MAGIC encountered a sea turtle entangled in a net .. they were about 7 miles offshore .. Pacific side near the lighthouse near Migrino ..

Working with our crew, the turtle was freed from the net .. the net was then brought onboard so no other sea life would be caught in it.

If I can do this right, I have 3 great photos to share ..

Magic best wishes to all ...

This is so cool, Kudos Cabo Magic.

When I was seventeen I use to work evening on commercial shrimp boat in Israel, one time we caught a turtle and the captain gave him CPR and than we move him to the marine center for a checkup, After one day he was released to free. it was a good feeling and good memory.

BTW Cabo Magic, If this post was about cooking this turtle it was make 115407 comments

Amir for sure one of those lifetime experiences to treasure and remember ... and share with others forever!

Russ - read the added post from <I think> Pescador about the update from LPaz D Jones .. am 'hopeful' about all that, but, in my relatively short time here I've seen that when the wind changes direction, or there is an election (!) things affected get re-affected and so on ...

We will do what we can as we always do, and do our best to keep guests and visitors informed as well.
