CR's a bigger area than one would think. There's 2 coasts and a ton of places in between...
But for a Pacific side charter that's an easy drive from San Jose also....
Contact Capt. Brandon Keene. costaricaflyguy@hotmail.com. He runs a carolina classic out of Los Suenos Marina. Skilled captain who caters to both fly and conventional tackle. He guided an angler into the 20lb tippet IGFA fly record roosterfish a couple of years back.

I have stayed here a few times. Always had great fishing and also mucho fun ashore.

Just watch out for the damn monkeys in the trees!! I would bring a slingshot and shoot back...

If you want a really unique fishing trip away from the crowds and cattle-boats, spend a day or two on Lake Arenal with my buddy Capt. Ron. Fish while you watch the volcano smoking! http://arenalfishing.com/
It's a trip you won't ever forget!
Great fishing and great company.

A bunch from Seattle, myself, & a co-pilot..are headed to NW Panama again in March..so close to Costa Rica I could cast there.

We'll keep our ears open for any CR reports on the radio or coconut telegraph.
