Early Start

This sailor heads out early on a calm morning after a 3 day stay in Punta Chivato. Last night the Navy also anchored up over night also. That's unusual. I'm sure it's just a coincidence but there were no shrimpers in the area;)

I was ready with the tripod last night for the moonrise but... it was too cloudy and this morning the setting moon was nice but the back ground was of everyone's stuff they put out behind their houses.
That's nice Shari. Looks like another great day over there too.

I do enhance them some in iPhoto but the color is pretty close to the real thing. No filters on the lens but I would like to get a UV filter.

Just how early was that? Seeing's how the moon rose just after nightfall, and you are apparently looking east... just saying...

Great shots Russ. Now I'm not trying to imply anything but I have noticed that when we have boats stolen here in LB the shrimp boats were in the area night before. I guess it wouldn't take long to drag a stolen panga over to the mainland.

We've noticed the same thing. However we'll find, on occasion, the boat on the other side of the island without the motor or a burned hull. and it seems 90% of the time the theft take place on a new moon.

I'm no sailor but today's radio forecasts & computer forecasts sailors get a pretty good read on the conditions and go when opportunity knocks.
Is there another reason they shouldn't travel on Friday?:?:

Beautiful, Russ...as always!

I was out this morning. It was real calm until McFez's moon made a huge splash over near Guaymas.:o

I was over by the mine, but a friend was over your way and saw the Military tearing out of Punta Chivato and speeding toward
something ominous.

Three shrimpers were out in front of El Patron.
