Russ, some friends here in LB have a pair that nest right next to their house every year. Hope they will be back for the 2011 nesting season.

These roadrunners.....they make their nest in cactus?
Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

I grew up near Fresno and as a kid we used to see them all the time. We used to catch horned toads and tranchulas in the fields, too. The San Joaquin
used to be a desert.
This guy ran through the yard yesterday. He hopped up onto the fence & was gone.
