Feeder idea for Russ
I salvaged this dead cardon from a site nearby. Peeled the outside stuff off, epoxied a paint can lid to the top and added a platform. Then stuck it
on rebar I drove into the ground.
He watched me.
And he watched me,

I got to admit....I really never seen most of these birds in Baja! Are they in the northern Baja area too?
Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Baja-a place for so many birds to stopover between going north and south and like so many birds, we stay.
BigOly 2010
Baja Sur is a place for many different birds to gather for a while. Migrating north or south, birds from the tropics and birds from the Artic Circle,
many, many are here for at least a short time. Some stay. Slow down, open your eyes and you will be amaised.

BigOly, Thanks. Good idea for a feeder. A pigeon hawk nabbed a sparrow at my bird feeder yesterday.

I slapped together a quick feeder platform using a cordon I had handy. Maybe next quad ride I'll find one with a branched top and can put a feeder
& bath on it. I really like the cordon idea. Thanks!

Noticed this guy fallen over out front and thought he'd be a good addition.
I'll try to find a rock bowl to hold him down that will work as a bird bath.
This is fun

Thanks for the explanation of the bird migration.
