old news. When the military took over TJ a few years ago (when they fired half the TJ police) the military took over C4 and was just as corrupt as
the police they replaced. They used the GPS system at C4 to track police patrol units and tip off the narcos. They were caught on camera shaking
people down for cash on the Via Rapida too. The Marinas are cleaning things up now and a new cleaner security force is being created. A few US Troops
got caught with their hands in the cash cookie jar in Iraq too. It's about money- not drugs.

I'm not doubting anything written in this article but was just curious who/ what is allvoices.com? It was founded by Pakistan born Amra Tareen after
she visited her homeland after the massive earthquake in 2005 and wanted something more than a blog to write about her experience and post her photos.
It is a social network where anyone can post their contribution and get paid for doing so. Doesn't necessarily make everything posted factual...just
saying...

Yep...they deal with everything between traffic and treason. Their lie detector is a Sears Diehard.

"It's about money- not drugs."
Thanks for the reality check Woooosh.... as it is, what it is.... $$money$$...
I'm sure the find of a Trillion dollars of minerals in Afaganistan was just great, however.. Production of 90% of the world heroin would surpass that
number with in a few years... an, guess what ..... It's environmentally low impact, and sustainable ... has been for thousand of years... many plants
originate from this area in the middle east (or part of the early parts of Pangea)...... check your Botany....
And all those Afaganies are farming in the middle ages... ya, think they have John Deer "Green" out in the barn... dry or wet fertilizers...
pesticides.. either by ground rig or aerial application ... naw, just a hoe (and I mean the hand held tool used for garden work) and water .... pretty
amazing plants.. the poppy and the pot .. the dollar cash value crops combined produce quite a bit of work, and money for a very lot of people...
including all the "medical", "courts", "interdiction", "social costs to families".... et al...
And by just making it legal would remove a lot from the equation on the whole thing... Globally ..... like it or not...
As for all those minerals... yeah, I know we need it (we being China and the other developing countries) ... saw just yesterday that china is building
35 million housing units by 2015, so we had better get going to cash in on the boom.... and those mining companies will leave it just as they found
it.... right pal...
Progress does not equal "negative environmental impact" in most cases... rather significant modification of the way we must live... in our
environment...
Check with those 35 million that will being having new homes in just four years.. lets see what it does to those folks and China... as the negative
feed back loops and forcing China, at this time, to make very hard calls on the impact they are having on the their own country's environment, but the
world's....
Just works that way, when your up in BILLIONS of human's .... then toss in India.. another 2 billion... think when they all flush, it doesn't have an
impact...
Just checked our population density here in Mission Viejo 4,990... and thought about it by comparing the population density of Singapore, 18,898...
then tried to imagine what it would be like... right here ... with four times the traffic, people, houses, and all the rest... looks like we are
almost getting to Blade Runner...

end result is same but densities are off slightly:
MV population (Jan 2010) = 100,725 / 17.4 sq mi (land) = 286.8 person/ sq mi
Singapore population (2010 census) = 5,076,700 / 274.2 sq miles (land) = 17,725 persons/sq mile
