Road from San Evaristo west thru Las Animas?

Four years ago I motorcycled north up the coast from La Paz to San Evaristo,
then west thru Las Animas and eventually came out at Santa Rita.

Two years ago i tried this route again but the road west from San Evaristo had been wiped off the map by a hurricane.

Am heading down there in March, has anyone bulldozed that road back in again?
I will not be on a dirt bike but a heavy dual sport...

Thanks for the help!

I made that same trip a month ago in my Tundra 4x4. I chose the lower road out that exits at Las Pocitas at Hwy 1. There is only a few real bad sections, but they are UGLY! Very rocky most of the way. I think a trials bike would be better suited for that trip. Bring a friend. I had no idea it was that bad, or I never would have went solo.

the road west from San Evaristo is in really good shape - the one going to Las Animas is like a smooth highway (all with Baja eyes of course).
I'll be there again this weekend - let me know f you want me to report

As usual, I picked the road less traveled! I'll try the other soon. The scenery up there is great!
