From the beach??

I was surfing through some old surf fishing threads on another forum. One mentioned Punta Conejo as a nice stop. On the Pacific side, north of La Paz, about km80 or so and west. Anyone been there?? Fished there?? Looking for a day trip for Dra. Bajabass and myself.

I camped there way back in 1985... beautiful beach, friendly fish camp nearby (brought us fish in the morning as a welcome gift), and hermit crabs all over.

Been there! Olga's brother's a fisherman in that fish camp. It's a beautiful spot! Dunno about surf fishing there....I'm sure if it's any good, Dra/Mrs Bajabass will show you how it's done! ;)

Great waves, and corvina in the early morning. There is also a nice pool on the north side of the point, lots of potential there. Good luck Jon, hope things are great down there!!

Let us know how it is. I plan on being down for the NORRA race in early May and would like to try some of the areas along the Pacific for surf fishing.

We used to go there to surf in late 80's. I remember it as an exposed point with out much shelter or vegetation and could get windy in the afternoons.
