Las Huertas
It's pretty this time of year when all the fields are planted. This is the view from our house.

speaking of planted.... i found some Caigua seeds online. bought 2 packs and planted one pack. the other was saved in case the first group was planted
too early. well, they are sprouting in my kitchen waiting for april so i can move them into the ground outside.
BTW, Bia hasn't seen or heard of Caigua for 35 years since she left Peru!

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Chiles, Albaca (Basil), y mas. The aquafers provide an abundance of water in the middle of a Desert environment. Exported to the mainland, verdad?
Beautiful view of the coastline! Is that my little casita there? The mangoes are flowering now, too. Nice phot, amigo. Tio

Caigua. Another thing that tastes like culo, but is ingested for questionable medicinal purposes?

they tell you to sand the seeds first. i used 100 grit on the skinny sides. 6 of the 8 sprouted 12 days later.
